Lab timetable

1. Please note that students are NOT ALLOWED to change group without the acknowledgement of the lab coordinator.

2. Any request for group change must be supported by very strong justifications. Reasons such as want to be together with good friends, do not prefer to be with someone in a group or want to avoid Friday sessions will NOT be entertained.

3. The groups are arranged randomly.

4. Each experiment (including replacement sessions) is NOT allowed to be performed by more than 4 students at the same time, except for experiments conducted in Computer Labs.

5. Students are NOT allowed to mix with other group members while performing an experiment even if the number of students performing the experiment is less than 4.

6. For students who have missed an experiment, they are allowed to join any group, provided that the number of students performing the experiment is not more than 4.

Lab timetable Important Notes

KIE1001 Laboratory 1

  • Lab session begins on 23rd September 2019.
  • Before experiment: Every student must write down some notes/theory related to the experiment in the log book provided by the department.
  • During experiment: Every student must write down the results in the log book provided by the department (except figures saved in a pendrive or captured by a camera). The log book will be checked by the lab demonstrator after each experiment is over.
  • Experiment D1, D2, D3, D4: Individual experiment. Students take turn to perform the experiment in Digital Lab.
  • Experiment D5, D6, D7, X2: Individual experiment but all students perform at the same time in Computer Lab.
  • Experiment X1, E12: Group experiment.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the lab without showing the log book to the lab demonstrator.
  • Lab report submission deadline: 1 week after every experiment
  • Lab report submission method: Spectrum (only 1 report from every group)
